Patrick's Messages
| Dearest Lair Folks,
It's us again, the Wilsons 3, writing a short note to say we hope
you all had a wonderful holiday season and that you rang in the New
Year with smiles upon your faces.
After our five month plus stint in Vancouver, we returned home for
Christmas and a terrific time was had by all. Kal got to visit Santa
at Macy's. He didn't cry as we thought he might; in fact, aside from
a natural wariness that comes with being plopped upon a stranger's
lap, he was quite intrigued by the man in red, and he even told him
what he wanted for Christmas (a boom-boom (his word for car) and a
na-na (his word for train). Kal is an amazing little man, who
understands both Polish and English completely and is starting to
talk in both languages. We are having the best time of our lives
watching him grow
and learn and he is such a ham, just cracks us up every single day.
Patrick has still got a month left in Vancouver, and Watchmen is
turning out to be everything he hoped for - amazing both in
techincal scope and cinematic storytelling and the cast and crew are
great. But it is the longest haul yet --- we miss Brooklyn. Dag is
still happy to be a stay at home mom, but is gearing up to do some
theatre in New York, once home in February. Patrick wants to thank
you all for your support of Purple Violets; that little movie needed
you guys and once again you proved through your iTUnes purchases :),
that you are a devoted bunch. When we have definite release dates on
Passengers and Lakeview Terrace, you'll be the first to know.
We hope that 2008 brings each and every one of you peace, adventure,
good health, added wealth, and lots of love and laughter.
Here's is a photo of 18 month old Kal, ringing in the New Year, at
7:00pm, homemade confetti and all...
Till next time,
Patrick, Dag & Kal

In honor of Kalin's first birthday and for the dedication the fans have
shown, the Wilsons have given us this special message and the first public
photo of Kalin! |
| Dear Everyone -
A little letter to The Lair and it goes a little something like this:
The Wilsons 3 have had a blessed, wonderful year full of travel and
adventure. We got to go to Poland earlier this year and it was fabulous to
finally show Patrick where Dag grew up as a little girl. And Kalin got to
crawl around his mother's motherland :) We've been to Vancouver, where
Patrick shot Passengers. We've been to LA and numerous visits to St. Pete,
FL. Kal has more stamps in his passport than some adults do :) He is a
joyful traveler - never cries on the planes, flirts with all the flight
attendants and sleeps for long, peaceful stretches. Just like his dada.
(minus the flirting :) We just got back from Hawaii, where Dag's sister got
married. The wedding was heavenly - a week of family, sun, relaxation. And
now its back to work for Patrick, who is in LA, filming a movie with Sam
Jackson. Dag flies to Poland in August to star in a Polish movie. She is
finally making progress in losing the baby weight. Hurrah!
Anyway, we (especially Patrick) want to thank you all for being devoted
fans, and for respecting our privacy, as always. In return, here is a photo
of young Kal, on the beaches of Hawaii with mama. Kal is the absolute best.
A talker, a walker, a jokester. He is bilingual, loves cars and trucks; he
is a voracious eater, (mangoes and mashed potatoes among his faves) He is
the joy joy joy of our lives. Nobody make us laugh more than he does. And he
ain't bad lookin' either :) The quilt you all made for him has been in his
room since day one, on the back of his rocking chair - and he loves his
horsies, and duckies, and teddies. Thank you again.
Here's to a wonderful summer for you all....
The Wilsons :)

To
the Lair,
Thank you so much for the very generous Broadway Cares contribution, not to
mention the individual pictures and messages for my birthday. I had a
fantastic birthday, but with a new little guy around, how could it have been
bad? It's been an unbelievable few weeks here and we are just settling into our
new life as proud parents. I feel fortunate to be able to be home during these
precious first few months. I'm sure Dag and I will get back to work at some
point, but I think we'll hold off for just a little longer. I was sad to see
Barefoot close when it did, but everything happens for a reason.
Kal is doing great and Dag is the best mother I could imagine. He has a
voracious appetite, and aside from eating, sleeping, and pooping, he loves to be
held...but then again, who doesn't?! The general consensus is he has dad's
mouth and mom's face, which is fine by me, One more beautiful face for me to
look at. Everyday he changes a little more, but for now he has dark hair, blue
eyes, olive skin and certainly lives up to his "beautiful" moniker.
Thank you so much for the quilt as well. It's absolutely adorable and I'm
sure Kalin will enjoy staring at all the pictures and artwork...once he has
color vision and can see more than a few inches. Rina, you did such a wonderful
job putting it together. It was such a joy meeting most all of you over the
Barefoot run. I feel blessed to have such caring fans, and I'm sure our paths
will cross at the next adventure.
One
bit of professional talk. Little Children has been moved from December to an
October opening, first in NY and LA on the sixth, then it will go wider shortly
thereafter. No word on the festival circuit yet, but we'll most likely hit a few
in early September.
Dag and I are very thankful for all your continued support, generosity, and
she would express her own gratitude but has her hands full...literally. Take
care and Happy Fourth of July!
Patrick, Dag, and Kal
